Renting points question

Hi there,

Just after a quick bit of advice. I have been reading up on DVC today... I am pretty clueless and am thinking renting points for a 2 night stay at the Poly (lake/water view) might work well for us.

From what I can see I would need 68 points to do this.

The stay isn't until July 2020 so I know I am way too early. I have read a little about the 7/11 month windows so my questions are:

1) When would I be best trying to secure these points?
2) Do I use something like David's DVC or can I request on TheDibb?
3) Am I likely to get what I want or should be looking at other options?

Sorry for the, no doubt, ignorant questions but just trying to get my head round it.

Milpston, we’ve rented points twice now, both times through the DVC rental store, their service has been fantastic both times, if you contact them or Daves they will advise timescales for you, we rented at BLT the first time and on our upcoming trip we have 4 nights at VGF, both have been approx half the price of going via disney direct x

We have rented points through Dave’s dozens of times now. If you know what you want, email them with the request a couple of days before the 11 month window. They will take the deposit and email you telling you that they will try and secure the points when the window opens. You will then hopefully have it confirmed on the day of the 11 month window or within a couple of days.

All very easy to do/deal with.

I’ve only rented off dibbers , they are cheaper than daves more than often . Easy and painless and found every dibber more than helpful . They also give you lots of advice if it’s their home resort . When they put there points up they tell you what can be booked at which window . You are likely to get what you want . The deluxe studios sleep 5 in gf and the poly.
