Sorry to hear this.

Someone said on another group, the same bunch are doing the new contract buys as are doing the ROFR stuff, and the number of offers has been extraordinary. DVC Resalemarket alone sold 400 contracts allegedly in a few weeks.

But I also think there's been a deliberate ploy to slow everything down. My other contracts were no problem at all, one was once 5.5 weeks from offer to booking. This is on top of ROFR going up.

I think it just needs a modification in buying behaviour, don't buy now hoping to book anytime before 12 weeks, and expect to maybe have a contract or two ROFRd.

Mine literally this time, with 2 ROFR along the way took from beginning of August to 20 January until I could use those points. But I'm very happy with the $4000 savings even on that modest contract.

I think our timelines have been very similar when I looked I had the offer accepted around 11th August I think just waiting for the points now.

I got mine through within I think 2 weeks of the deal going through but I still couldn't book for the first week in Dec as it is a popular week and availability had gone by then. I did a cash booking at the Swan instead - the way I looked at it was, I could have waited to book my flights but that would have been dangerous for my work trip and getting a good PE deal (work only pays economy) and in the end I still saved thousands on paying direct prices.

Mine's all sorted now and I have the points in my account. Thankfully everything was banked correctly so I'm just waiting to make my first booking in a couple of months. I think mine ended up being the quickest of us in the end, although it certainly didn't feel like it at the time! We submitted to ROFR on 7th November and I had the points on 17th January.
