Not sure but I would say Tues to Thurs as some locals may have a long weekend so have the Fri or Mon off.

We always go towards the end of Aug when Americans are back to school.
The mid week was fairly quiet but the weekend was very busy. We went on the weekend as loved it so much we wanted another visit but only the weekend we could do.

If you're going in August then I'd plan to be there just before opening. We got there then and there were about 30 cars ahead of us waiting for the gates to open.

It's a bit of a drive away so you wouldn't want to go all that way and not get in. Plus by getting there early you can pick a good picnic spot. There's also a QS place where we had some food. We were there in summer and it was bracing when you first got in but lovely after that.

That sounds as if it could have been Blue Springs, they have tubing there and it’s very popular with locals, hence the car parking!
