I do as much prep as poss the night before, but my main time saver is not faffling about under the stairs getting out the wedding china. I'm afraid we just eat off our ordinary (but very nice and not chipped) every day china, with our normal cutlery. I defy anyone to notice! The table looks nice, and it goes without saying that they food is delicious, since I've cooked it 😉

Top tip, I look up recipes on Pinterest, plan to make lovely things, then have a think about it and go to M and S as usual!
I do cook my turkeys on Christmas Eve and usually pre cook all my potatoes and veg beforehand and freeze them in portion sized batches. Finish off in the oven on the day, very little mess to clean up then. Saves room in the ovens too. I have a Peel fest day when all this prepping goes on! Gammon is in the slow cooker for buffet in the evening.

I do all the prep on Xmas Eve including cooking the turkey, making stuffing etc. I set the table ready too. Then there's only the veg to cook on Xmas day, and like others I swear by foil baking trays/dishes for cooking everything. DD and I love cauliflower cheese - so I buy M&S ready made, and their pigs in blankets.

Sounds like foil trays and pre-prepping everything is the way to go...
I'm not entirely sure about pre -prepping as it just spreads out the time you spend in the kitchen - still the same amount but spread over 2 days - so the jury is out on that one - though it is popular... |

I also use paper xmas plates for all buffet food and snacks - saves loads of washing up.
