I went into our local M&S this morning. Busy but not over the top for a few days before Christmas, however I left without buying much of what I had planned to because the dates were just rubbish, most of it before 24th December

By 9am this morning there were no trolleys left at our M&S foodhall. The coffee shop had been closed and cleared to make way for the fresh produce order collection point.

Worst thing was whole families shopping ! Crowds of dads and kids getting in the way.

I agree about the short use-by dates, they obviously want people to throw out left-over food and buy a load more on the 27th.
