Yeah it is £18 a month now, but as you've said 1 ticket can almost cost that much! It's well worth having the Black card that you get after a year too as there's no 3d uplift. Recently our Cineworld installed a screen X which is only a £3 uplift and well worth it. They also have 4dx for an uplift but we tried that once and hated it!

We also use our Cineworld card for 25% off at Las Iguanas which is our fave place to eat.

I can totally see how the cineworld card isn't worth it if you only go once a month or something, better off just paying as you go.

I look at it that I'm paying less than £20 a month for what gives me several hours of entertainment , I don't buy snacks or drinks there , that's what bumps the price up and I don't feel the need to eat in the cinema , I take a bottle of water . When you compare it to other enjoyments such as a night down the pub or a theatre visit , I think it's excellent value, especially if you enjoy going to the cinema to watch movies . it's a really expensive night out for a family now , especially adding drinks and snacks on top , but for me as a solo cinema goer who can fit in several trips a month I think it's excellent value .

Cineworld in watford, Vue used to be £12 each but dropped prices when Cineworld opened in December, funny though Cineworld in Hemel which is 4 miles from Watford is only £11 each.

Wow. Had no idea the cinema was so expensive
But then again I don't think I've been in the last 40 years - seem to recall seeing Grease when it came out , don't ever recall actually seeing a film at a cinema since then
3 times a week / 70 times a year - wow

Would never do that paying for each visit but when it's unlimited for £18 a month I think it's good value . Family of four though paying would end up an expensive treat around £40 for tickets and snacks on top you are talking about at least £60 for the evening.

It's because the Watford one is classed as "London - Watford" so we have the pleasure of paying the London premium prices.

The new cinema is lovely but at those prices we still go to the Vue - can get two tickets and some popcorn for the same price.

Cineworld South Ruislip is about £11 a ticket, Vue in Harrow is £6.99. Cineworld is much nicer, but we go to Vue because of the price.
Just remembered my son asked a bunch of gypsies to keep it down in Vue Harrow when he was about 16, he had dd with him aged 10. This guy threatened to snap his neck, I had to go up there and report them and get refunds on their tickets.

Kids club is the best value, £2 for our local cinema 10 minute walk from me. Older movies but still a bargain. The normal price is £9.95 peak time, £1 off with a membership card. The sweets and popcorn are not a rip off there but alcohol is pricey. Still cheaper than driving to the Vue in the city although that is only £4.99. Odeon is so expensive.
All the adverts before the movie annoy me, not for other movies but the normal tv ones. The all inclusive one rapping is the worst!

We normally go to the Vue in Harrow even though the Watford cinemas are closer it's much easier for us to jump on the met line to Harrow. It's also really handy having Wilko opposite for pic n mix haha.
