Yes, it costs £12 per year, you apply online you just need to upload a passport size photo.

Definitely entitled to student discounts as a mature student!

You can also get a youth railcard (if things haven't changed since I graduated a few years back) - officially this is the 16-25 railcard but students are also eligible, and I just needed a letter from my college stating that I was still a student to be able to get one. Great for cheaper train tickets...

I also used to get an NUS extra card for the discounts at Superdrug and Coop though have no idea if they still have these discounts now...

OH has had one the whole time he’s been registered at Reading.
Sadly he’s come to the end of his uni days (this isn’t sad at all!) but he has the card until Sept I think.
I thought he would be an eternal student!
I have thoroughly enjoyed discount in Co-op for the last 10 years or so. It’s also been great for DS as he’s not old enough for an NUS card himself but used it regularly for clothes and shoes.
You can register your NUS card at unidays for online purchases.
OH wasn’t able to do this as his college within Reading wasn’t supported for some reason?

Don't forget you get Amazon Prime half price! As another poster said, sign up for Unidays, I used it all the time though my course.

I'm starting my MSc in ultrasound in October, I can't wait to get my student status back

Sorry to jump on this and go a little off-topic...but does that mean you're currently a radiographer? If so hello from another one 😊😊

It doesn't, no, I'm a specialist nurse. Hello anyway though from another NHS person

Every one of my colleagues who's done it says it's the hardest thing they've ever done, so that's reassuring
