Mobile Esta wife to be passport

Hi we are on going on our honeymoon two days after we are married, my fiancee is applying for her passport in her married name 3 months before the wedding (earliest you can do it). So question are we going to run into any problems with the ESTA application? Are we going to be able to apply as soon as she receives her new passport?

just remember the new passport will be post dated (for after the ceremony) and the ESTA requires date of issue. you will have time to process the esta post ceremony but if I were in your shoes I would be travelling on het maiden name and sort passport out on return

I travelled on my maiden name as the worry of leaving the ESTA so late was too much for my nerves to take!

Her passport won't be valid until the day you get married, so I don't think you will be able to apply for the ESTA until then. I'm assuming you've booked everything in the married name, since she's organising a new passport, but my recommendation would have been to travel on her maiden name if her passport was still valid.

We got married in 2014, and I travelled on my maiden name until 2017 when my passport run out, and then applied for my new one in my married name in Jan 2018 when I knew we were going away again.

The problem with travelling on maiden name will be if they’ve booked anything in married name (flights for example) then they’ll have to take their marriage certificate with them.

When we planned our honeymoon we did it all in wife’s maiden name to avoid any such issues.

Thanks for the responses and advice I think we will just apply in her maiden name.
Am I going to get much drama changing names on my virgin booking and my disney experience?

I think MDE probably not, but Virgin may have a cost.

We went 3 months after the wedding and I still travelled in my maiden name as I didn't want to risk the ESTA! So I definitley wouldn't be risking 2 days. We booked all travel etc in my maiden name.

Surely there is no problem with that?
