New camera

Can anyone suggest a new camera for me please. I want to spend about £250-£300 and would like a point and shoot. TIA

The Panasonic Lumix range are really good and have various models at different price points. We've got the TZ 70 which is at the lower end, but was within our budget at the time we bought it a couple of years ago

I bought a phone instead.
I know it's wrong if you are a camera person but the photos off the Huawei p30 are phenomenal. I just upgraded my old phone (also Huawei) the upgrade was 250.00. The upgrade in photo quality is phenomenal. Triple Leica camera.

Don't need to use it as a phone !

Thanks all. I like the look of the Panasonic DC-GX800Kebs Mirrorless camera although I am not sure what a mirrorless camera is!

For someone just using a camera to point and click, the main difference on a mirrorless camera is that it has no optical view finder - so nothing for you to hold the camera up to your eye to look through to see what you're photographing. You rely solely on the LCD display on the back, the same way you do with a camera phone. There are other more technical differences, but I think that's the one that would probably affect you most based on what you've said

What are you looking to use it for? Phones are pretty good these days but if you need a good optical zoom then better to get a separate camera. The Lumix range are pretty good in the segment between the phone and DSLR.

Sony do some good mirror less cameras and if you are going into that end I'd look at them over Panasonic at the moment.

I want it for holidays and concerts really. I felt my Samsung phone was not good enough last year.
