Finally committed to DVC - waiting for ROFR
So, having taken the DVC Tour last August, and then followed Yorkshire T’s sage advice to research, research, research for at least 6 months... (including becoming an obsessive lurker on this zone of the Dibb)
We have finally made an offer on AKV and are now waiting for Disney to decide on ROFR (wish there was a nail biting emoji!) Any advice on how to distract myself from wondering about the outcome for the next month or so?

Oh no! How long did it take you to find out that Disney were taking it?
Enjoy your holiday!

Good luck. Don’t get disheartened if it’s taken, all you have lost is a bit of time, and there’s a lot of contracts around at the mo at quite good prices. Last one I had two contracts taken, unlucky but happens. Third time lucky though. Others I had go through first time.

Oh no! So sorry to hear that, good luck in sorting out the insurance. And hopefully, you will find another (even better) DVC contract.
Good advice (as usual). We're not in a rush/ desperate need for points, so we can definitely afford a bit of time if that is needed. I'm just being impatient...it was all so quick getting the offer accepted and documents signed. I think I have got a bit too used to instant gratification

It took us 35 days in ROFR back in January but we got through. The sale took 4 months in total because the sellers then took 3 weeks to return their contracts.
Was very impatient through it all, especially as it came with last years points which I wanted to sell on and I was concerned about availability to use them getting low. Was all good in end though |

35 days! Im going to have to practice just not thinking about it!
Ours also has some points we will want to rent out, so hopefully our sellers will continue with their quick return of documents! Glad to hear yours all came good in the end though.
