Half board option
Apologies as this has probably been done to death before... We're going on Wednesday (this Wednesday!) and am starting to panic about how expensive eating out will be. We didn't go for half board as kind of assumed that meant you had to eat in your hotel (obviously have not done much planning, only just seen this website and have not got the Brit Guide!).
So what i'm asking is- how much does the typical adult meal cost? And how much money does the half board option save? Do you think it would be possible to arrange at such last minute? We're a group of 6 adults, one 4yr old, one 2yr old and a 1yr old. Thanks guys! p.s. does everyone book restaurants or can you just usually turn up? |

Howdo,
Okay - lets be frank and honest here. Eating at DLP atm IS expensive - the current £/€ rate just means that Europe is generally expensive currently Im afraid. Yes, you should save money on the Half Board option, so it is definitely worth considering. See the Sticky here for full info. http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=379632 No, you dont have to eat in your hotel - there are plenty of good dining options around the DLP resort. However - if you want it you best get it sorted ASAP, as Im not sure how keen they are on people adding it to their booking last minute. Your best bet would be to phone DLP Central Reservations in Paris direct on... Tel: +33 (0) 1 60 30 60 53 HTH!

Thanks for replying so quickly. Always knew it was going to be expensive! I think we might just wing it as the restaurants not included in the meal plan are probably the ones we would go for...
Thanks for your advice - this forum has been really helpful (though scared me as made me realise how unorganised I am!) |
