Tui fly-drive sep21

Hi,
TUI are currently scheduled to operate a Saturday Bristol-Sandford flight in 2021 which is very appealing to me as not far from home and saves the trek to London.

My question is if I book a fly-drive, can I just not pick up the car? This way I can book at deposit only and reduces the risk if I have to cancel.

Is it not cheaper to book flights only and put them on your credit card?

I know when I have looked at flight only vs fly drive there is a �400 difference.
