They replied asking for some details as mentioned earlier, then said a refund would be raised.
About an hour later got an e-mail confirming cancellation and repeating a refund would be arranged. Due to the amount of customers and the current circumstances I was pleased with the alacrity they had worked.

I’m getting a refund on the money but not the air miles that I also used so part result. I didn’t know the air miles were not refundable otherwise may have thought twice about using them.
Oh well at least the WhatsApp communication was quick. |

Do you get an immediate acknowledgment reply on whatsapp? I’ve sent them a message but have had nothing back. With Virgin Atlantic they immediately acknowledge a message.

A friend is having the same issue. Messages them on whatsapp and no reply at all. Not even an acknowledgement.
Anyone had recent success getting a response, never mind a refund? They booked via VA travelplus - assume its VH that fulfil and need to be contacted for cancellation? Edited at 03:46 PM. |

Sounds like they aren't refunding hardly anyone and probably won't until they get a cash injection and/or resume cashflow. I wonder what % of customers they could potentially refund before they went under?
Guess the choices are sit and wait, or S75/AMEX chargeback. |

I have yet to hear of a single person getting their money back so claims of being prepared to do it appear to be lies- there’s clearly an internal edict- no refunds otherwise we’d see them coming through.
Unless someone can confirm a refund since a cancellation once this kicked off properly of course...

We cancelled ours on 27/03 and the email said it would be 45 days for the refund. Not looking hopeful if others cancelled earlier and have not had any refund.
