Do your own actions catch you out regularly?

I deff do the hair straighteners check lots of times. At night I lock my doors then go to bed...

Then I get back up and check I've locked the doors. I always have not that it matters as I live in the middle of no place.

The funniest thing happend to me, I went to do some cleaning up in my sisters house, I haven’t been there on my own since my mum died. I felt a bit freaked going there on my own, my sister reckons she saw my mum awhile back. I love my mum but after she’s been dead a year I don’t want to see her. I put my bag behind me and I was sitting on the floor cleaning and the dog started staring behind me a barking. I said for gods sake stop freaking me out, I lent back and something touched me lightly, I screamed and jolted my body. It was only my own flipping bag! My mum must be up there laughing at me!

I'm forever checking that the doors are locked before we go to bed. Do it before I go in the bathroom and again before getting into bed as I can't remember which ones I checked.

In Florida at the moment (3 days left) and they keep showing the same add (dont they always grrrr) anyway its a new washing machine that you put the whole bottle of liquid in there and it calculates how much and despences the right amount... Then 40 or so washes later you just top it back up again..

So it might help us oldies who can never remember...

Me too. Every. single. morning!

I also go to turn my office light on at work every day, trying using the light switch that doesn't exist by the door. The light switch is actually on the other side of the office on the far wall. I've only worked there for 3 1/2 years

My handbrake on my car! I always have to go back to double check I have applied handbrake. When I pull into a space I purposely say to myself hand brake is on but I still walk away , turn back to car to double check. I think it’s because in the car park at work loads of people tend to leave handbrake off and their cars have rolled out of space and hit another car! I’m a worrier!

I keep double checking the front door when I leave the house but to be fair I did go out on two occasions and leave it open!

At the minute continually forgetting we are dog sitting and only making sure ours are back in and leaving 2outside

With regards to work stuff, for years there I had a key to an office which would lock at your back so you needed to have your keys on you when you left or you would be locked out, so I always felt both my pockets before leaving to ensure my keys were in.
I’ve caught myself in the house patting my jammy bottoms when I’ve walked out the living room to make sure my keys are in my pocket ...
What is wrong with me!
