I thought you only got a reservation when staying on-site?
If thats the case, and they did it at WDW, there’d be a ton of unhappy visitors.

At Disneyland California between 31 May and 23 June reservations are issued automatically to each person staying onsite at a Disney California resort. For guests not staying onsite then they had to use the Disneyland website to apply for a reservation (there are currently no further reservations available).

At the present time, Disney are not running the reservation system at WDW they have instead opted To open the park at 6am each morning.
