Breaking news on the BBC. It looks bad from the photo but I hope its not as bad as it seems and not too much is destroyed.

It looks pretty bad - I used to love walking down there from my flat on Rue Simon le Franc - just behind the Pompidou Centre - past the Hotel de Ville especially on cold, clear winter days and in springtime.
Let us hope that the emergency services can get it under control as soon as possible. |
