Snack/Lunch Places in Sausalito

Hi

Only a few days now till we begin our first trip to the West Coast.

Just doing a last bit of planning and we are doing the Hop On/Off Bus Tour which has a couple of stops in Sausalito, so thought this might be somewhere to stop for a light lunch, can anyone offer any recommendations please.

Also anywhere to get a nice doughnut or cake near the water?

Many thanks

Hi the waterfront stretches for 3/4 a mile or so with lots of cafés and bars. On one of our trips we just got some carry out snacks and sat at the waters edge, beautiful setting. Have a look at google maps and you will get a better idea.

like jdouds above, we bought snacks and ate them on the shoreline whilst admiring the views. We also tried Lapperts ice cream parlour. It was excellent.

We ate at Copita Tequileria y Comida it was lovely food with a great atmosphere.
Everyone also recommended Lapperts for ice cream but we never got round to having one.

There's an amazing sandwich place on the main road, its got a small shop attached to it called Venice gourmet - definitely would go back. Good to get a sandwich and go sit by the water.

Sorry for jumping in, did you buy your ho ho bus tickets in advance or are you buying them once you’re there?
We’re going in July and I’m wondering if I should get the tickets now... sorry for hijacking your thread!

Hi,
we have just returned from a great visit to San Fran and bought a 2 day hop on hop off bus passes on the bus on our first day... the 48 hours starts from when you buy the ticket.
You can either do this... or buy them from the main shop close to Fisherman’s Wharf.
We bought the ‘Big Bus Tour’ bus tickets (burgundy coloured buses) as ‘City Sightseeing’ bus tours were not running in the City whilst we were there. Work exactly the same... same routes, same times, but far more generous with their headphones 😂 they freely offer them each time you get on so if you lose them it’s not a massive deal!
Just a word of advice (although I am sure someone has already posted it) take plenty of layers to put on as even on a hot day... it can be bitterly cold on the open top of a bus going across the Golden Gate Bridge! 😂
