I’m so sorry to hear that.
Times are tough right now and it’s so up and down it makes my head spin.
Brighter times are on the horizon, hold on in there!

‘Dont stop believin’ hold on to that feeling’ As Steve Perry famously sang.

Better times are coming and that is whether I get there or otherwise in August.

Due to go California and Hawaii on 11th August for 18 nights.

I’m fairly sure we can get there but nervous about costs for COVID tests for 4 people for 4 flights. If this is going to add £1.5-£2k to the overall holiday cost then I’ll just cancel.

We are planning for the worst and looking at UK options as alternatives

We had the same trip as you booked for last year.
Was so gutted we didn’t get to go. Just doing California and las Vegas this trip, also travelling on the 11th.
I know, it’s very nerve wracking. Hoping they’ll realise the price is just to high and they have to make it more affordable.

I just can’t bring myself to do that, I’m being a bit of a brat and saying if we don’t go to the states then we go nowhere😢
I may change my mind!

I was exactly the same until last week when Maldives got put on red and reality sunk in about our June trip
My thinking was I either stay depressed and we do nothing at the end of June or I look for an alternative
We ve booked a caravan on the south west coast path which I love and haven’t walked in so long and I instantly felt better

August we have two weeks off which will ideally be somewhere hot but if not I ll look for U.K. options
