Flights to Vegas, return from MCO
Hello Dibbers. I'm planning a trip to Las Vegas, Disneyland and ending with a cruise from Port Canaveral. 16 Aug to 3 Sept 22. Our party is 3 adults and a 16 year old. I've found flights LHR to Vegas via Frankfurt, and MCO to LHR via Montreal, total £2641 inc baggage. Decent flight times and layovers. Quite tempted.
I really wanted the BA direct to Vegas, but prices are horrendous! What do you think? Am I looking too early? Really appreciate any advice or tips! Catherine |

The prices sound OK but I would be tempted to wait a little longer as most flights are available from the 11 mth mark. You have picked a time of year that should be a bit cheaper as American send British children will be headed back to school so prices should be reasonable.

I would as Mentalmum suggests, be patient. You are not strictly flying commercial routes, more business. Wait for all of the airlines to join the race.

Thanks everyone. I'll wait. The annoying thing is BA charge £360 for lhr to Las Vegas as part of a return ticket, but £1,800 for one way!

That's standard for legacy carriers. Very few Transatlantic carriers price per segment unfortunately, it's typically only used in low cost.
However you don't need to book this one way, just use the multi city or custom trip option to create an open jaw return. Should be much the same price as a MCO return. You are looking a few days too early for BA though, release is 355 days out so I believe they're only up to 31/08 at the moment. Give it a few days, then price up as a return. And you're about a month too early for the rest of the airlines, they release at 330 days. Edited at 11:08 PM. |
