Can’t speak for Avis but if booking through Holiday Autos with Avis then refunds take 20 WORKING DAYS! 🙄

Free cancellation. I have gone for the "pay at arrival" option. Currency risk, but that's OK for me as it can work out either way.
So no need to worry about refunds.

If it helps anybody else, I've just been comparing car hire prices and an Avis booking through BA dropping at HRH/RPR is coming up quite a bit cheaper than booking direct with Avis.

I can't see anywhere if there's free cancellation with BA car hire, anybody know?
