First Time Planning
Hi,
I'm looking into a West Coast trip for 2011, I know I'd like to see Las Vegas and Los Angeles but is there anywhere else you would recommend? I would also like to be able to go to Florida on the same trip - what's the best way to do this? Has anyone done this? I'm thinking 3 weeks - will this be enough to do West Coast and Florida? Thanks |

Hi, welcome to the DIBB, I looked through a lot of trip reports on here for ideas of what we would like to see. I also bought some guide books and used sites such as trip advisor. I think it was Lizzybear who posted all of her weblinks she used for planning her trip a couple of weeks ago. If you are planning on touring it may take you a lot of reading time lol. I was planning for weeks as we are doing so much on our trip. I posted our itinery last week on a different thread in this section if you can find it. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need on here or feel free to message me.

San Francisco is lovely and a trip to Alcatraz is a must.San Diego is a lovely place as well and you can even visit Tijuana in Mexico which is just a couple of hours from San Diego!

We really enjoyed our trip to San Fran a couple of years back. We also visited Monterey and Santa Barbara. We ended up in Anaheim, which we liked but we hated the Hollywood side of LA.
Good luck in your planning and research |

I really wouldn't try and do Florida in the same trip. In LA you have Universal, Disney, Six Flags and Knottsberry Farm and if you add San Diego then you have Seaworld, San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wildlife Park so you won't miss it.
Cheers, Row
