Thank you - as of August this year Remdesivir was licensed to treat FIP in cats - its still in a trial phase - grossly expensive and to be honest, vets are under-dosing as they are still learning how to use it. Remdesivir is actually a more complex version of the off market drug that we used to treat our cat, Cam. So… hopefully in time, REM will come down in price (as an example it would have cost £15, 000 to treat Cam) and vets will understand the dosing protocols… and more cats will be saved. For the moment, I am glad that we used the simple anti viral that we did.
