Surviving 9/11

Did anyone else watch this on BBC? Very powerful. Hard to watch. I’d never really seen much on how it impacted people from the UK before.

It’s available to watch on catch up.

Anyone familiar with the story of the man who led the lady down from the 90th floor? I think he said her name was Lucy and they were separated just before the north tower collapsed. Does anyone know what happened to Lucy?

I try not to watch anything as my daughter was there on the day, she survived but the wait for us trying to get in touch with her was horrible, worst day of our life

Yes it was really well made and thought provoking

Also watched the one last night with George Bush, that was brilliant

My grandparents were at one of the new York airports about to fly home at the time, when all flights were grounded a total stranger on hearing their accent offered to put them up in their own home!

I watched last nights. Fascinating to see how things unfolded and the decisions that were made. Also explains why he was holding that book upside down at the school- he had seriously bigger issues on his mind while patiently sitting listening to those kids read! I never really rated him when he was president but he came across well in that programme.

I thought that they were both great documentaries- especially the Bush one as a different insight into the events.
