No news here 😭 no way will we meet the deadline now. Only hope is that the buyer's mortgage lender changes their mind and extends it.
So incredibly fed up of it all.

I’ve just posted off a sealed bid for a house that’ll be a huge project if we get it. We’ll hear by the end of Friday if we’ve got it but we know there’s been a huge amount of interest including from developers, so don’t really hold out much hope. But you never know!

We last moved house in 1996 so dreading the prospect of that, but we don’t need to sell to complete most of the renovation/rebuild work so shouldn’t be under too much time pressure if/when that eventually happens.

We’ll both be jumping whenever the phone goes on Friday!

I'm selling. Agreed price with buyer early May, just now waiting for any further enquiries to be completed. The buyers have been very slow with paperwork and their solicitors have been very limited in communication with mine. Had to do some kind of indemnity policy for something and hoping that's it. It's been painfully slow and an absolute slog to be honest. I'm looking forward to seeing the back of it all but seeing as nothing has been signed yet I can't even say its all definitely happening. No news for me either, despite both my solicitor and estate agent getting in touch with their solicitor to find out what's happening last week. I've very much lost my patience with it all.

I'm 5 weeks in now, cash buyer with nowhere to sell. Should be simple, hell no. Phoned the solicitor this morning expecting the searches to be back and they haven't even been applied for as they have heard nothing from the vendors solicitor.
Going for a lay down.

Our survey was completed a week ago, we have heard nothing from the buyers solicitor yet. Hoping that everything will be fine with the survey and we are still on track to move in September.

Heard nothing from our chain either, we should be ready to exchange as I think everything is back now, but yet again it’s me chasing. Hopeful to hear something tomorrow.

Our surveyor came on the 29th March, we exchanged and completed 21st June. That wasn’t even slow unfortunately.
Don’t get me wrong I’m sure it can be done that quick, but you’ll need to be chasing and chasing and chasing.
It’s not really the survey, it’s the searches I think that times everything? Are they back?

Our survey and searches were done mega quick! Think all sorted within 3/4 weeks then everything stalled, ended up taking 13 weeks in total.
Sellers had moved out so no chain.
