Christmas pub or home buffet

Not sure which to do.
£200 for us all to go to the pub with a drink included just about.

Or I can do a buffet at home.
But I have no idea what to make. Don’t want something hard to cook or poison people.

Any ideas

I'm pretty sure from your previous posts that you don't enjoy cooking much (am I right?) And after a difficult year I think you deserve to be looked after at the pub!

I don’t mind cooking. Problem is my food doesn’t always go so well which is a worry. Just don’t wanna pay for pub lol

8 adults. 2 children and a baby.

Usually the bbqs go better and I can manage sandwiches at a kids party but not done a Christmas buffet before

If it's for six adults £50 would be enough for ready made food. Stuff you put in the oven and warm up and some deserts.

Just read your last post , say a budget of £80

If you go to the pub will you be paying for everyone? Or will the adults be paying for themselves?
Is the pub/buffet on Christmas day or on the run up?

One year our neighbours took their family to the pub as she was fed up with cooking but afterwards said it did not have the same atmosphere as when she cooked and wouldn’t repeat the experience. Personally I would do as suggested and go the buffet route. Marks already have Christmas food on their web page so you could get an idea of what to choose before making a decision of pub or buffet.
