Yes but they can go with testing and no quarantine. I mean they aren’t banned as not vaccinated

My friend is Italian, and said all her friends back home have had their teens vaccinated, and if she wants to go home next year with her son, he will need to be vaccinated. Why is the UK so slow with offering it to this age group?

It is a big decision to make that's for sure, and if they're not vaccinated by next summer, then we simply wont go, and will change to somewhere we can go to.
This is good to know! Thank you 😊

Only 1 dose is being recommended to 16/17 year olds here, as the heart problems increase with the second. If the US insists on children being fully vaccinated, that means 2 doses for kids in the US. So they may not let any kids in with only 1 dose, if they're being that strict. You'd have to hope there would be some common sense and it would be jab or a test. But US hasn't shown any common sense with its border policy.

We won't be going as my kids won't be having it anytime soon. Think I'll follow the JCVI advice and not the politicians agenda.

This is a deal breaker for us too. We’ve started to have a back up plan for next year. Never thought we would ever be contemplating not visiting the USA if borders open.
