Iberia flights, operated by BA - what does this mean?
My preferred dates are not out yet for 2022, but I was playing around on SkyScanner, and came across something.
Looking at business class, and it tells me that Iberia flights, operated by BA, would come in at £1606 each, and that chosing the BA option would come in at £2201 each. Same dates, same flight times, but nearly £2400 cheaper for the 4 of us. Why would this be, and what am I missing? Cheers

It's a codeshare flight, Iberia are effectively reselling BA tickets. Price differences are common, it may be that BA have already sold all of their own tickets in the cheaper fare bucket but Iberia still have some of their allocation left to sell.

That's a big difference though. Certainly worth looking out for when my dates come out. Cheers

If you want to fly Virgin, then look at Air France or KLM codeshares "operated by Virgin Atlantic". The exact same often happens - the codeshare flight is cheaper, but you're on a Virgin aircraft flying direct from the UK to MCO.
I've got Upper Class flights in the past for about £200 cheaper by booking the Air France codeshare flight. |

It's crazy, we once flew with Condor on a TC flight that our TA told us didn't exist & far cheaper than TC- Condor were part of their group.

Same as I found for some Christmas fares last night.
Booking with Iberia is about half the price of booking the same flights with BA: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1203026 |

We usually fly BA to the US on a code share with AA , both for fare reasons and that AA are more flexible with changes .
