Transiting to the US through Canada post March 2016? Need an ETA?

Just seen that Canada is introducing an Electronic Travel Authorization this year post 15th March 2016.

Looks like you need one even to just transit through.

Will have a proper read later, but just for peoples attention in case they will be doing this and want to look as well.

Think it starts on 15th we miss out by 10 days arriving on 25th. Don't think as much as an esta.

I can't do ours yet as need new passports

Yep, 15th is the start date. Haven't done the application yet, will look at it later.

Looks like it yes, will need the passports you will travel on. Says its valid for 5 years or until the passport expires, whichever is shorter.

Costs 7 Canadian Dollars by the looks of it (about �3.60).

I just applied for three out of our four and was less questions than the esta and a quick email response.
It doesnt tell you instantly if you are approved, you have to wait for the email!
