I appreciate why people keep saying stuff like “it’s early days”, to temper expectation and hope etc., but I have to say, in vaccine development terms this is actually “very late days”. They could literally be putting this into large scale use in the next couple of months. They’ve already said they are aiming for September. If this was the Moon Landing missions, they are literally performing the preflight checks.

If this is pulled off, and it’s increasingly looking likely, it will be one of our generations greatest ever scientific achievements.
