So like many of you we had a great holiday planned for later this month that has been cancelled. Like everyone else I'm heart broken. However I have to find a joyful way forward. My holiday is postponed till it's safe. On the day we were due to travel I plan to get up early get my family a McDonald's breakfast. Then I'm going to go get the snacked and treats my boys had planned to buy for themselves at the airport for the flight. Come home and as a family watch YouTube videos of all the rides while we eat our treats.

I was wondering what others are now doing to enjoy their staycation?

Oh this sounds wonderful! Ours was cancelled back in April, we signed up to Disney plus and had Disney themed day! I even attempted to bake Mickey shaped cookies!

Will most likely be doing the same in October if/when that trip gets cancelled

I'll be at work the day we we're due to fly, but we're going down to Cornwall for a week to see the family & my sister in law and I are going to Miller and Carter where I will stuff my face on a massive steak and imagine that I am in Outback Steakhouse on the 192!

Our normal road trip of dunkin donuts (tray), coffee and gulf Coast day at the beach was replicated with Krispy creme, maccies coffee and a trip to Prestatyn Beach on Thursday 😊

Alton Towers next week but the rest has been spent on finally doing the ensuite we have been putting off for too many years

We have cancelled a trip to Disney Paris this month. Been replaced with a trip to Howletts Animal Park, Highclere Castle and lots of ice cream to console myself!

We ordered a hot tub to compensate for losing our May holiday but unfortunately it didn’t arrive until July as everywhere had sold out.
It’s had plenty of use since it arrived though

got a hot tub (was v difficult as sold out everywhere, got ours off amazon in May), driving to france (fingers crossed it stays on the list) when we should have been in Florida, will be in the country with own villa so self sufficient if need be although I'm planning on eating out a lot as long as distancing not an issue

We were supposed to fly out to Orlando on 21st August for a cruise and 10 nights at Disney.

We've booked a week in a cottage in the Lake District for the first week we would have been in Florida - I'm actually really looking forward to it the closer it gets.

The second week I will be back at work and probably crying... A lot!

Still, with the weeks annual leave I have saved I've managed to book 3 weeks in Florida next year instead of the usual 2 so, every cloud and all that
