Quebec 2016 - On y va LIVE - Day 10 - Down On The Beach

We woke up to sunshine!

After a breakfast of bagels and coffee, DH and I decamped up to the roof terrace! We chatted for about 30 minutes before the kids wondered where we were. We all stayed for another 30 minutes just chatting and messing around together.

We then walked down onto the rocks - nit do easy for uncoordinated me!

And the other way. The tide was fairly high.

Then off out for a wifi fix for the kids. They have been embracing the no wifi rule but wanted to download some games. Tim Horton won the fastest internet game!

McDos was non-existant!

We also visited Walmart and Dollarama - a treat for F and me!

The route back to the house - firstly on a proper road!

And then about 2km down a dirt track. We are in the middle of nowhere.

The tide was out so we went down to the beach.

The water was apparently very cold - DH said about 15C.

We saw a seal - honestly it is just behind the rock!

The lack of being able to stream films has meant a return to old fashioned activities

We went for a walk through the forest all around us - only wildlife were a frog and a chipmunk.

After dinner we hit the ice cream parlour where I managed to upload part of today's report!

Then we went for a walk along a stretch of the coast about 3km up from where we are. The sun setted as we walked. It was so very lovely.

We are back at the house and I am quickly finishing the report. No telling the kids though

It has been such a lovely relaxing day.

It looks so beautiful, I am sure your kids will remember this for the rest of their lives, even if they don't have wifi! I can just about make out the seals head I think!

Being out in the middle of nowhere - it looks like bliss. I love your roof terrace, a lovely way to start the day or watch the sunset I'd imagine.

Wow, wow- that house! Your photo of the red chairs is really eye-catching. And if you are a teenage boy who has to do a jigsaw rather than catch Pokemon, then that dining area is the place to do it.

Did you start a tab at the ice cream place?

The jigsaw was a big hit!

I think we should have had a tab at the ice cream shop The owner was lovely!
