Yes, TS credits can be used either for TS meals or QS meals. That bit is nothing new (it mentions this on the Deluxe Dining Plan for those that don't want 3 TS meals a day).

The new DDP+ gives you 2 TS credits rather than 1 QS and 1 TS with the regular DDP.

Remember that signature dining requires 2 TS credits so this DDP+ might be useful for those that do a lot of signature dining. And it's also useful for those who do like to have two TS meals a day. Some people do upgrade to the Deluxe DDP and this is a cheaper option, albeit with less credits.

Otherwise, yes, if you prefer 1 TS and 1 QS meal a day then stick with the regular DDP.

If it's anything like the other dining plans then, no. You can't just upgrade one night. You have to upgrade your entire stay. Also you have to upgrade everyone staying in that room.
