We've been more times without Disney than with Disney, this year included...almost! We are going to be getting an annual Disney waterpark pass (about $120), Kennedy, Legoland (DD is 4 and loves it), Blue Springs state park, Clearwater for beach and Littletoot. There are so many places to see that it's easy to fill 3 weeks with no Disney!

We've just booked a beach hol for next year 2 weeks on AMI and taking DD's friend (both girls will be 15) and looking forwards to it. We've done a two centre before but never 'just' the gulf coast, we were going to a villa in Spain but at 4k for two weeks decided on Florida again.
Looking forward to beach days, mini golf, Ellenton Mall, St Armands circle, Little Toot at Clearwater maybe the aquarium and Myakka state park

When our children had had enough of the parks we started going to the Gulf Coast for our holidays just for one year for a change.

Fast forward 18 years and we now have our own place on the Gulf Coast and come over a couple of times a year. We've never got tired of being here and love the choice of beaches and lazy life.

Funnily enough we are now gearing up to visit Disney again next year, this time with our grandson so a whole new experience ahead.

Do try some time at the beach. It truly helps you relax after the wonderful but hectic park trips and recharges your batteries.

Enjoy
😎👍

We only ever do 1 or 2 days at the parks, if at all, these days. Even when I was little and we first went we only did 4 days max. We prefer to explore the rest of the state/country. I’d personally recommend the Sarasota or Naples area for a base and then you can take day trips here and there. You could even incorporate a Busch Gardens trip if you are missing theme parks. We also loved St Augustine and Fort Lauderdale and enjoyed doing the Keys over the course of a week before flying back from Miami. We aren’t keen on Miami but some people like it there. There are certainly plenty of options for a non Disney holiday in Florida.

We have been going to Orlando for over 18 years and tend to do just Disney one year and Universal + SW,BG the next . We find it to expensive and not enough time to do both .this year we are doing Clearwater then up to Universal via BG , we are drunkeNness Space centre as our 12 year old son has never been .might do a trip to Disney springs . We did Disneyland Anaheim and Paris last year so we got our fix.

No disney for us when we go. Have 5 days left of our Universal AP and have booked DC and Gatorland.
