Defo recommend- we got home yesterday. Staff were lovely, plane clean and comfy. IFE good. Delayed coming home on first flight due to weather - constantly got updates from staff and via the app (was only an hour delay)

I'd fly Delta in preference to Virgin. Definitely rate them the better of the two , one of the better airlines across the Atlantic .

Like others I’ve recently flown on 2 domestic Delta flights, far superior to any other short haul flight I’ve done. We had standard seats on one flight and comfort+ on another and both were comfortable with great legroom, entertainment and drinks/snacks. Would like to try their long haul offering.

I would agree with most posts. Have flown them a few times indirect. Easter this year both legs were delta, whereas normally its just the second domestic leg after a Virgin flight. I prefer them to Virgin. Their Delta Comfort+ is great value for money - Virgin have replicated with their Economy Delight. But seats are very comfortable for trip. Planes are generally pretty good as well, even on the domestic. IFE is very good. Bigger screens, better selection and ability to stream to your own device as well.

Delta is actually our preferred airline out of all we’ve flown with.

Delta are a good airline, seats are comfortable and staff are great, ample supply of fluids through the flight and definitely one of my preferred airlines to fly with. Flying BA out this year and returning American Airlines, wonder how AA will compare to Delta.

We have just flown indirect Virgin to JFK then Delta JFK to Miami , Delta flight was far better than the Virgin flight whose plane was dated and nowhere near as comfy as the short haul Delta flight which had nice leather seats , I thought if only we had had the Delta flight long haul . Coming back we were direct from Miami to Heathrow on the Virgin Dreamliner , although the Dreamliner was better than the first long haul flight with Virgin I still rate the Delta flight as a better experience .

I normally am okay booking indirect, but we had hassle with our return flights last year with delta. We booked with Delta and our flight on return was cancelled, at the airport after we had checked in and baggage was through. We had to go to their desk airside at the airport to sort out. By the time they finished with us the queue was huge. In short we were offered a flight to New York but we would need to book and pay for our own hotel then put on flight following day to Glasgow, however she said there was no guarantee we would get on that flight as the forecast in New York wasn't good for the following day either! Or be downgraded and fly home with Aer Lingus 5/6 hrs later via Dublin. Wait of over 2 hrs at Dublin airport. We chose the later. We had to return to Delta baggage office, wait on our suitcases, hang about the airport for several hrs until the check in desk for AL opened, then check in and do security all over again. It really put me off indirect tbh. Saying that it's only the second time in 6 flights over the years that something has gone wrong when flying indirect. A lot can depend on the time of year you are flying and what the weather is like where you are flying from/to and the stop over.

Sorry, just to add the Delta flight enroute were great. Both legs.
