Hi...coming out of lurker-land!

Hi,

I've lurked on here for a couple of years now, but not really posted. (Posted twice maybe?!)

We (me, DH, DD10 and DS8) went to WDW for the first time last year, and are booked again for next August . Staying at POR again, with QSDP. Plus, a few days at Universal, which isn't booked yet.

I've had an absolute nightmare trying to sort out flights; we're using a BA companion voucher plus avios...never again. I've lost count of the hours spent on the phone (mostly on hold) trying to book and then amend flights. I've finally got it sorted (I hope!) and now I can get down to the serious business of planning!

So, I spend far too much time on the Dibb already, but will be here even more often now!

Hello. I was the same. Lurked for a couple of years before posting. Couldn't plan a WDW holiday without this forum 😎

Hi,
New here, going to WDW in April for 1st time.

Even getting used to the abbvs is a challenge.
DW, DD 14, DS 11.
POFC, DDP.

Where do you start with the planning?
Any tips from last year?

Thanks.

Newbie Here Too!

Hi folks,

I'm a newbie to Dibb and a first timer to Orlando (booked for next June!).
We have flights and hotel booked but I'm still undecided re hiring a car. We are staying on International Drive and the hotel seems to have free shuttles to the parks.
So - a question for all you seasoned Orlanders - do we really need a car?

Welcome.

In a word ... yes... a car gives you so much freedom.

Thanks for that, if we are only planning to do the main parks/International Drive area would we be OK without a car?

Anyone out there just use the buses?
