Disneyland the Disneyworld...
To change things up I was wondering how practical it would be to get a custom package to go to Disneyland California for 7 days, then to Disneyworld Florida for 14 (flying from Manchester).
I don’t seem to be able to find much. Edited at 11:17 PM. |

Very easy , Open jaw flight out into LA (or indirect toSanta Ana which is much closer) flying back from Orlando, seperate ticket for the internal flight , plus hotels. You could either DIY or get an agent to put it together for you. Mattie at My Magic Holidays would be whoid use if I wasn't DIYing it.

You won't need 7 days for Disney California, it takes 2 days 3-4 if you want to do it at a really relaxed pace and ride multiple times.
You could of course do other things. But Anaheim is in a part of LA which really has nothing else there, and LA is massive. To get to Universal, Hollywood, Warner Bros it is only 25 mines but takes 1.5-2 hours each way. So better to do a split stay and move hotels. Definitely worth doing, much prefer California to Orlando and there is so much more to do there. Mind you I'd still spend the 3 weeks on the West coast for that exact reason. You could do San Francisco, Yosemite national park, Pacific Coast Highway, LA (inc Disney) and even San Diego or Las Vegas in that time. Having done the west coast for 4 years and then been back to the east coast this year we reminded ourselves how much better it is than Florida. But doing both is fairly straight forward with a multi city trip. Fly into LAX, then LAX to ORL and then ORL home. Edited at 07:59 PM. |

Disneyland California is not a 7 day investment in time. I was there at Easter and one day in each park was more than enough as many of the major rides were shut. Even with them open, I reckon on 2 days.
There are plenty of other things to do over there, though. It was our best US holiday ever... let down only by Disney.

Also cheaper to book this yourself than as a package which can be 30% or more in price.
You will want the flexibility as well if you do the full west coast as you work out what you want to do and were to stay, usually over a couple of months of planning. |

We were thinking about doing the same but once we got some advice here and saw what was available on the West Coast, decided to spend the whole time there. Barely scratched the surface tbh

We were in Anaheim last year , Disney is 3 days at best , Knotts Berry is about 10 mins drive away and is a great park . Did Universal by booking a coach trip from Anaheim which was easy and better than driving through the traffic . As others have said would stay on the west coast as plenty of other places to visit. Vegas , Grand Canyon, San Francisco to name a few . Been to the west coast a few times but unlike many prefer Florida , there is so much more than Orlando but we always end up there .

Excited about Disney
|
sounds like an amazing itinerary!
we have had many customers do this in the past! I would probably recommend maybe 4 nights at Disneyland though and more time in Orlando. The parks are a lot smaller, and its a lot more expensive than WDW!
