Sea world or I Drive?
So have Universal endless summer booked but with all the bad reports got me thinking and questioning why we are staying there (as we aren’t doing Universal this year going to DC, Seaworld ect). So my new dilemma is stay where we are, stay on I drive and save £ or stay at Seaworld. Most of these inc breakfast and are cheaper than universal. Seaworld sort of makes sense as we will be doing the 3 parks but never stayed that end and I was quite looking forward to walking up I drive for food. Would I have to get the trolley to eateries?
Not sure why I’m giving myself a headache over it but I just can’t decide! Anyone stayed near the Seaworld stuff? I like the idea of being able to walk to the parks which some suggest you can. TIA

We’ve stayed at The Renaissance opposite Seaworld a couple of times.
It’s quite a few years ago now but the hotel has a couple of nice restaurants from what I remember and the bus stop is right outside if you want to go to idrive The Doubletree just around the corner is a nice hotel too. You can go through the back entrance to Seaworld and you could walk to a couple of restaurants on Idrive it takes about 15 mins. There’s also a bus stop outside.

We stayed once at the Springhill suites on I drive past the conference centre going south . It had shuttle to sea world /Aquatics and you got free front of line tickets . Free breakfast and lots of places to eat near by Wild wings , TGI’s Denny’s . They had safe , microwave, coffee machine.

We've stayed at the DoubleTree near Seaworld and also stayed further up International Drive at various hotels.
There's not a lot between the two locations but, personally, I would choose to stay nearer Pointe Orlando myself rather than near Seaworld. Being within walking distance of Seaworld was good but there wasn't a huge amount of choice for restaurants near the hotel. Of course, the I-Ride can take you further up International Drive but sometimes that can be a pain to get (sometimes a 20min wait, sometimes the bus is full, etc). I suppose it depends on how often you are planning on visiting Seaworld. BTW you couldn't really walk to Aquatica from the DoubleTree. Just thought I'd point out that the hotels are not Seaworld hotels and not within Seaworld's resort. Seaworld doesn't have it's own hotels.

The Renaissance opposite SeaWorld is nice but a bit out the way. If you want somewhere with a bit more to it, Avanti is a nice location opposite the Orlando Eye.
