Sarah & Stuart's Dream Come True

Ok ladies so here goes...

As many of you probably are aware I have been dibbing for a while now and have spent many a late hour reading everyone's happily ever afters so thought it was time I started a report of my own.

Background:

Stu and I have been together since we were 14! We got together following a dance at our school disco and to be honest have nevee looked back since. We will have been together 9 years next month and on 20th November 2010 Stu took the plunge and proposed. on Admiral Joe Fowler looking over to the Wedding Pavillion where we had chosen to get married on our first WDW holiday in 2006 and on top of this we are due to move into our first home together in less than 2 weeks.

Planning

So Disney has really been the only option for us and the wedding pavillion has always been our dream come true. So with the venue already decided we then started talking dates. Initially we dreamed of a xmas/new year wedding 2012. However, after looking into the affordablilty for the family, we decided against it and have made the decision to go ahead with November 14th 2012. Obviously we can't book anything yet but we are keeping everything crossed. Roll on November 2011! We are currently looking at a 2.30pm or 3.30pm ceremony.

Who's who:

Me - Bride
Stu - Groom
Marion - Mother of Bride
Michael - Father of Bride and all round softy
Julie - Mother of Groom
Alan - Father of the Groom
Emma - Sister and Maid of Honour
Adam - Emma's other half
Jacky - Future SIL and bridesmaid
Stu - Future BIL
Jessica - Niece and flowergirl
Harry - Nephew and usher
Bump - Niece/Nephew?
Dave - Future BIL and bestman
Rachel - Bestman's other half
Barbara - Groom's nan
Frank - Groom's grandad
Chloe - Bride's Best friend/witness
Joe - Groom's Best friend/witness

Stu's grandad isn't confirmed yet but at present everyone else is confirmed.

We are therefore looking to book an Escape wedding and hoping to do a dessert party and meal. We really wanted to do the wishes cruise on grand yatch 1 but have too many bodies

So that's where we are at currently. Hoping to have more to report as soon as it's all booked.

Spending my time dress shopping at the moment but am pretty sure i'm going for the DFTW cinderella dress after trying it on today and falling in love with it (see previous post)

Hope I havent bored you all too much and am looking forward to adding as our fairytale unfolds

aw it sounds gorgeous. It's such a pain not being able to book until 12months before- do you plan to book everything then, flights, hotel etc?
Can't wait to hear more about it as time goes in. It is too my dream, won't be happening for a good few years yet- but it will happen.
Can I ask what the dessert party is? & the price of it- I've not seen a lot about this, or the yacht cruise either.
I can't wait to see the dress- eee, this excites me

Hi Steph and thanks for your kind reply. I am eagerly awaiting for virgin to release the flights for next year then I can go ahead and book. I have been scouring the web for a while to get an idea of roughly how much the holiday itself will cost as we are looking at flights for 19 of us, villas and car hire.

The dessert party is an added extra whereby you have a private catered event followed by the fireworks from the grand floridan (please girls correct me if I am wrong). I am not sure on the exact pricing as I havent spoken to a wedding co-ordinator yet but I am sure one of our disney brides will be along soon to let you know.

I found out about the cruise on the dibb and would love to do it but there is an 18 person limit and we are currently over this which is a shame but can't be helped. Maybe its something to do another day.

There is just so much to think about and organise I don't know how we are going to pull it all off.

I am currently trying desperately hard to locate my dress in orlando for my future in-laws to pick up when they go out in November this year but it now looks as though they will have to order it when they go out in November and then pick it up when they go out again in April 2012.

Hi Sarah, love your story, highschool sweethearts awwwww! Engagement sounded perfect too

I see your a fellow Essex girl, what part?

I feel your eagerness to book! I had that countdown until the 2011 prices were released, that was nothing compared to the stress of securing the date you want 8 months previous... that day is so nerve racking! Worth it though for the hapiness after

It will be your time to book before you even realise it! Enjoy your countdown

Good luck in your house move too xx

It will be November and time to contact Disney before you know it, I finally got to call them last week after waiting over a year and now I can finally say I'm getting married in less than a year
