I was diagnosis with Breast Cancer 18 months ago and went on Med cruise 3 weeks after having Lumpectomy and had radiotherapy on my return. Insurance is not easy as I am under 2 years since Op ,that is one of the first question they ask, the insurances I have been getting does not cover me for Breast Cancer but always declare it. I am going to Orlando 3rd March 2015 but only book it at end of October 2014, I don't book to far ahead now .
I think you will have no problems with Disney they are so nice on the phone when I have spoken to them.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR TREATMENT.

So sorry to hear your news. I've been through this 3 times, none of them related to the other, so I have a good idea how you are feeling. I can't help with the disney question but if you have problems with insurance try Insurancewith. In 2012 I had to pay over £1,000 and I've had another cancer diagnosis since then, but I saw this company on TV (rip-off Britain) and have got insurance from them covering all my pre-existing conditions for just over £500. If you have no other major conditions it would probably be even cheaper.

my mum had pancreatic cancer and was able to get insurance with eurotunnel very reasonably, only 25 pounds for 2 weeks in spain.all she needed was a letter from her consultant to state she was fit to fly.when you are ready to travel it may be worth giving them a call.
best wishes
NADYA do you have a number to call for eurotunnel please? I'm struggling to get a decent price for my daughter who has hydrocephalus with a shunt fitted. Filled in eurotunnel online form and came up at over £500 so think I will try phoning but can't find a number.

Wishing the OP a speedy recovery and hope you will soon be experiencing the magic.

Thankyou so much, rang them and got it sorted, had to do 2 separate insurances as my daughter is 18 but the total for all 4 of us for annual worldwide travel was £212, as we are traveling together we would all be covered to stay if something happened to any of us. The bonus is I am now also covered for my solo trip to Zante in May, thats normally £40 in itself.

Thanks all.

My operation was abandoned while I was on the table due to 2mm spread in the wrong direction which couldn't be removed safely. I start chemoradiation a week Monday :-(

Everyone is very positive that I should have a good outcome so I'll just hold on to that!

I'm not booking anything at all but I'm thinking about holidays as something positive to focus on. If I get the all clear it'll be around July time and I would dearly love to return to Florida a year later for the 2 weeks before the schools breakup. I can't decide whats the best way to do this!

I don't know enough about insurance to know if I'll get insurance that covers my cancer which (thinking positively) will be in remission and I can just crack on with booking stuff next year or whether it'll be an exclusion and then we need to be really careful about booking using deposits and paying balances as late as possible - this is very different for us - we usually do DIY and pay upfront way in advance especially for flights etc.

I don't have any other health issues and neither does dh or ds - normally our insurance is about £30 but I'd be happy to pay a few hundred if it covers the cancer and I'd have piece of mind.
