We took teabags for years and never thought of declaring them 😳

We took teabags, breakfast cereal, Robinsons Squash'd, chocolate, baked beans - just declare at immigration and we were waved through (have previously had to have a quick bag check but not a problem) - I did note our bag containing tis had been checked by TSA too.

Always declare - however if taking "squash" remember to say diluting juice or they think you are bring fresh vegetables in

General rule of thumb is if it goes in your mouth it’s classed as food so declare it (some people will disagree but better for the TSA agent to say “don’t you know we have those here” than potentially get stung).
