Mobile Packing a cuppa

Hi,

I am sure I have read on here people take tea and coffee?

I was hoping to pack some tea bags in my hold luggage. My colleague at work was saying it’s not a good idea.

Please help!

Have you got time to read 5 pages from a recent identical thread.

A few opinions including the official and legal one

I've posted the legal answer and also tried to mitigate that by saying they have other more important foodstuffs to control - but the law is very clear

I always think it’s best not to risk it!
If I take them I will just declare and follow the rules!

You'll be ok,when the form was there to be filled in I used to just declare whatever I was taking, never loads just tea coffee biscuits ,just stuff for when you first hit the hotel before you head out for dinner.Never a problem. Now with no form ,I just tell them and they are always like 'you're fine'.

I took tea bags and declared them at immigration. He was used to it and had no issues.
