Please help...difficult year

Hi all
I'm looking for some advice...
I'm 26 have been with my fiance for 8 years. We're looking to get married but have had a difficult year...
My mum died last year, at the age of 46, suddenly and unexpectidly, after being in remission from breast cancer. I have a small family with a young brother and sister both under 10 years old.
Obviously this hasbeen difficult and i lost all interest in getting married as i was very close to my mum.
Along side this my fiances family are splintered to say the least and do not get on!
We are on holiday in orlando in 10 days and would love just to get married there, just the two of us.
Any advice on a small wedding just the two of us?
Thanks for any advice

Hi, sorry I can't offer any advice about weddings in Florida.

Just wanted to say sorry you've had such a terrrible year.

I do hope you go ahead and get married, just the two of you. DH and I got married in Vegas, just the two of us and it was amazing.

I hope you and your husband-to-be have a long and happy marriage.

Good luck xx

Why not try Carrie at Destination Occasion, even if she can't fix you up she may be able to offer some advice. Good luck.x

So sorry to hear you're having such a rough time.

I was going to suggest Carrie too (Destination Occasion). I'm sure she would be able to help you.

We are planning to renew our vows and she has helped me a lot - and once we've set the date of our next Florida holiday, she will be helping me organise our day.

I hope Carrie can help you.

destinationoccasion/default.html

If not I have a contact in St Augustine that does weddings on the beach at a very good price.

So sad to read about your terrible year, how tragically sad. It is good that you're thinking about the wedding now. You could google "Florida marriage license requirements", that may give you an idea of how far in advance you need to apply for a licence. It may be a week or two before the actual date, in which case you will have to move quickly!

It sounds like a lovely idea, look into the equivalent of registry offices here. Good luck and do keep us all here at the Dibb posted on how it goes x x

No waiting in Florida for a wedding licence if you live out of state. You can be married at the same time as buying the licence. I know I've done it.

Good luck.
