I have been in Munich and it is beautiful place but foods were okay, strong Germany foods. But lovely shopping there.

Berlin - have different restaurant better than Munich.

They are both very different cities. To start with, Berlin is a lot, lot bigger than Prague and most of it was flattened in WWII, whereas Prague wasn't. But Berlin has been rebuilt and is still a nice place to visit. I have been to Berlin 3 times and still haven't seen everything - that's how big it is. Prague is much more compact and I still haven't everything there is to see there! I have always found Berlin to be a lot cheaper than other capital cities, such as Paris, Amsterdam and London. But Prague is a lot, lot cheaper than Berlin which is why I prefer it over Berlin. Anyway, I think that you need to do more research on both cities and make your own mind up as to which one you would like to visit.

What time of year are you thinking of going? It might make a difference as to weather and what's on

August the 14th to the 18th, dd has a level results on the 13th aug and she is 18 on the 12th. We are hoping to pick up some cheap flights in the Jan sales but are still undecided where to go. Dh really wants to go to Germany, I thought going to museums isn’t very exciting for a 18th so maybe not Berlin, we thought if we went to Munich maybe get a train into Salzburg. I don’t know I haven’t been so am clueless!
