Hamburg

Hi All,

Hoping to book to go to Hamburg next year as a city break, 4 adults.

Any recommendations which area to stay in and any hotels?

Any recommendations what to do/see?

Any recommendations of places to eat?

Thank you

Sue x

You have to go and see the Miniatur Wunderland, it’s ace!

We stayed at premier inn Hamburg city centre, walkable to every place, we found reeperbahn area a bit seedy.
We also enjoyed miniatur wunderland and a trip up Elbphilharmonie

Generally would say near / around the town hall (rathausmarkt).

Re food depends what kind of food you all like.

Nakama is a favourite of mine whenever I am there. It is an Asian fusion restaurant.

Can’t recommend many tourist things as always there on business but agree with above about the Reeperbahn being seedy.

We did a one night stay this year. The transport system was brilliant. Something like €11 for 24 hours for 2 of us including transport from airport. This included buses and boat transportation. The Elbphilharmonie is free and offers great views over the city but you do need to queue for a ticket with time slot.
