Dont keep them in fridge, they aren’t in fridge in shop and I have never ever refrigerated mine eat loads and am not dead yet! Trust me, just boil the water add the egg, using a spoon, simmer for four mins, remove, eat! Please come back and let us know how it goes

It’s a mine field... I’ll try 3 minutes and 5 minutes tomorrow. So for your method I’ll do 3 minutes straight from the fridge?

The eggs are on... from the fridge and in cold water. I’ll do one 3 mins and one 5 I think.. I did take two eggs out of the fridge last night but in the interest of research I decided they both had to be from the fridge or I wouldn’t know which was which.

I’m hoping dippy egg goodness awaits me

So the results are in.. 3 minutes was perfect! Absolutely perfect

Scotsmomma, you’ve saved me from dippy egg doom... it was gorgeous! Thank you!

5 minutes was soft boiled still but too set to be dippy.

Thanks all, I knew the DIBB would have the answer

So was it 3 mins from bubbles rising from the bottom of the pan or rapid boil?

Into boiling water. 4 mins medium, 5 large. Get out and tap top to stop cooking. Never failed me.
