Only watched 1st episode so far, part of it was filmed where I work.
The cast & crew were in for a week filming last summer; Marvel & Wonder Woman then arrived a week later to film for 2 weeks then Master Chef for 2 days a couple of months later! Edited at 11:44 PM. |

I've just started watching the crown from the beginning and loved series 1 and 2 and loved it. Thought the cast were fantastic. Have watched the first 2 episodes of series 3 and I'm not so sure. I'm not warming to Olivia Colman as the queen at the mo. The queens chara6seems to have changed completely with the new casting

I have watched the first six. Having looked forward to it for so long if I am honest I am a bit disappointed. Don’t rate the actor who is now playing Prince Philip at all and can’t get used to Olivia Colman playing the Queen. Thought it was unfair to show the Queen as faking her tears at Aberfan. The Queen also seemed really mean to poor Prince Charles ! Helena Bonham Carter is at least 20 years older than Princess Margaret would have been in this series. I’m sure the original actors could have played the characters for one more series. Imelda Staunton will be playing the Queen in series 5/6.
The episode about Prince Philip’s mother was good though, she seems such a character. |

Finished season 3 now (must have been on ep9 before) I have to wonder how much is true story and how much is over dramatised - makes the royals seem quite cold especially the queen and queen mother! that said I have enjoyed it, and look forward to season 4 next year!

I’m glad I’m not the only one, really struggling with the new cast in fact I’m finding it a bit boring, what a shame loved season 1 and 2.

I’m only just seeing series 2 but have loved every episode. I was very fortunate to have met the Queen a few years ago and I warmed to her then. It’s been fascinating to see her grow as a woman and monarch in these programmes and has made me love her even more.
She truly is a exceptional human being.
