I loved that. This is so much a part of our family's history. My late husband and I saw this in the cinema together when it was first released then my three-year-old daughter watching this endlessly on video and finally the three of us going to Orlando and Universal Studios in 1992 and going on the ride for the first time.

We've both just watched this and teared up with the memories ...

I loved the film as a child but the ET ride spoilt the while thing for me, hated it !

The ride wasn't as good as I thought it would be. With the advancements in the years since, I'm sure they could make a really good ride.

This and Jaws were the first 2 rides our youngest son did on his second visit sat on his own he was 11months he still loves it at 24
DS1/2 it's a Christmas favorite movie along with the goonies
DS3 couldn't wait to take GDs2 this year not 2 he loved it
