We stayed in a villa in the Formosa gardens area in 2017. We used uber and Lyft lots and to get to Disney etc. It cost approx $11 to get to the TTC. We found that an Uber was never more than 5 mins away. To get to the 192 near target was $6-7.

The only hole worth pointing out is that even if you rent a car, there are days you'd still want to Uber to enjoy a drink during or after the parks. A few days of that and from a cost POV it really does swing in Uber's favour.≈Of course, you wouldn’t pay for parking on those days so it’s not completely free money.

...And that's before we consider each member of the party potentially using Uber for the first time. That's $10 on first use and $10 on a recommendation. With a party of 5, that knocks $100 off Uber's total too.

... And that's before we consider using the same tactics with Lyft.

For what it's worth, we actually rent a car and Uber.

We always hire a car as DH likes to drive. But if he didn’t want to I think I would be happy to stay in a villa and use Uber. We are staying at Highlands Reserve this summer and there is a walkable Publix and a couple of restaurants plus a Chinese takeaway. If you were to Uber to a park, then to a restaurant, then back to the villa some days, you could walk to a close by restaurant some evenings or get a take away. The only real difference that I can see is for people who like to go back for some down time during the day and then return too the parks, as this would obviously push the costs up. So yes, I think a villa is okay without a car. Davenport would also be fine as long as it’s not too far down the 27.
