I find it hard to see the US still being closed off to UK travellers come July purely down to both of our countries advanced vaccination programmes.

I truly believe we'll be flying on the 26th!

We've had countless trips cancelled since March 2020, refunds and e-vouchers for so many things, but I'm super optimistic for July onwards.

When our US holiday was cancelled last year for August 2020, I needed a back up plan. I booked the Eurotunnel, and a first time booking for us of Portaventura. Everyone said it wouldn't happen... bearing in mind we were in the midst of covid chaos. None of us will be going anywhere my Mother said 🙂

As we got nearer, Disneyland Paris reopened, and we went there on route using our annual passes.

We had a great time.

Yes we got hit by an unexpected quarantine when we returned home, but the kids have really fond memories of Portaventura.

We'll be flying to Florida on the 26th, and yourselves a few days later.

I've applied for our ESTA's this morning, just had the official approval. Always a nervous wait... not sure why that is, we always get approved 😀

Just need the travel ban lifting between now and the end of July, and it'll be all systems go!

Next traffic light review is 7th June, with Biden's UK visit a few days after. Will put a celebratory bottle in the fridge that week just in case... 🤞
