Which Aircraft - VA Aug 2022?

It’s probably too early but any idea which aircraft VA are using now from LHR to MCO?

I’m looking for the expected aircraft/seat plan for:

VS135 - 11:00 on 6/8/2022
VS136 - 17:25 on 27/8/2022

Probably too early but if all goes to plan i'd guess they'll use their yet-to-be-delivered leisure config A350-1000's
There are five on order for delivery last-quarter 2021-second quarter 2022.

All they have said so far is that these planes will have 387 seats (compared to the current layout which has 335)

On the Virgin website for flights in the winter schedule booked up to March 2022 they are using an A330-300. This summer it is being operated by an A330-200. As muppster said a lot can change but whether they would choose to use their new aircraft remains to be seen,

Selfishly, I hope they stay with the A330 for the 2-4-2 config rather than the 3-3-3 on the A350 😫. There’s only 2 of us travelling so would be better for us.

I guess time will tell!

Their current scheduling is the A330-300, but as always things can rapidly change. There could be 1-3 flights per day depending on demand. The earlier flights did seem more likely to land an alternative type, namely the 787 Dreamliner.

Essentially it should be a A330, as this is a bucket and spade route, new aircraft A350 will service their business travel flights.
A330 have 19 upoer class seats, A350 44 upper class seats

It's too early - this summer is a 787 but by next year who knows.

VS have five Leisure Config 350's on order which will not have 44 upper class seats!

The current layout sees the aircraft have 335 seats, the leisure config will have 387 meaning a sacrifice of premium seats for economy...the exact configuration has yet to be decided, but essentially Virgin will repeat what they had with the 747's, some of those were "bucket and spade" types with more seats that their Heathrow sisters.

The 330-200's have 19 but the 330-300's have 31.
